Saturday, July 12

Day 13.
We are now waking up in the dark. After yesterday's poor sleep, this was a nice treat and many people said that they slept very well. Both of us included.
The days are very hot and the nights get cool quickly.
We started out on country roads, moved into residential areas (very nice) and ended on urban streets of two to six lanes in width. It was a zig-zag ride with lots of turns and lots of hills. It was fun. Teresa pushed quite hard and I got quite a workout today. We rode with Arnie for most of the day. Some of the groups missed turns and received bonus kilometers for their efforts.
We are camped out at Timberline High School right across the street from several shops; coffee, pharmacy's and restaurants. Everything we could possibly need.
As we sat here near the satellite hookup, the sprinklers came on and many of us set our computers down to ensure that the zippers were done up so our belongings did not get wet.
On the way back to our seats, Teresa collected our mail. Thank you all so much for sending us something. So this is what Radar O'Reilly felt like on M*A*S*H (not that everyone will understand what I am talking about). It was fun for us to sit together and open mail.
Tomorrow we will try to post some photos related to the days gone by. Please come back and check us out. We both hope the internet is working well.
